We are tech-for-impact strategists and practitioners

C Minds is a tech-for-impact action tank that designs and deploys bold initiatives for social change in Mexico and Latin America, transforming ideas into pragmatic strategies. It was founded by Constanza Gómez Mont in 2012 as PIDES Innovación Social and then re-designed to C Minds in 2018 in collaboration with Claudia Del Pozo and Cristina Martínez Pinto.

The women-led international team seeks to future-proof communities, governments and companies in light of the Fourth Industrial Revolution by contributing to more inclusive and human-centered public policy and advancing the debate around ethical tech. This is achieved by collaborating with international organizations and all levels of government, from federal to state and municipal, to co-design and implement pioneering strategies that place people at the center of the conversation.

A peek at some of our work

The organization co-authored various important foundational efforts for Mexico to make the most of the AI Revolution, including the basis for an Open Banking standard and foundations for an AI strategy, which it is currently strengthening via a collaborative effort carried out through IA2030MX, Mexico’s National AI Coalition, which C Minds co-founded in 2018. The organization also co-designed fAIr LAC, a platform to promote responsible AI adoption across Latin America and the Caribbean, together with the Inter-American Development Bank, which includes the development of national hubs that empower governments to harness AI for better social services. As of 2020, C Minds is leading the Latam Chapter for the IEEE’s Global Initiative on Ethics of Autonomous and Intelligent Systems, ensuring Latin America is a part of the global conversations shaping our future.

Constanza Gómez Mont, CEO & Founder	Claudia Del Pozo, Director of the Eon Resilience Lab Having grown up in France and Venezuela, and now living in Mexico, Claudia is very aware the inequality challenges we face and is exploring the practical harnessing of technology and the digital economy can bridge that gap (AI, Blockchain and Open Banking). She's published various regional reports, was recognized as a NextGen Leader by Microsoft and is a Tedx Speaker. In the past, she worked at IBM Germany and studied at Warwick Business School.
Lucía Trochez, Director of Planet for the Future Lucía holds a Multimedia Engineering B.S. Growing up in Colombia and now living in Mexico allowed her to understand and embrace the diversity and plurality existing in a Latin American country. She is passionate about gender equality, entrepreneurship, and technology, currently volunteers as a Techstars Startup Weekend organizer and has worked for organizations such as AIESEC, Techstars, and more, developing her expertise in project strategies, marketing, brand creation, and partnerships.	Ana Victoria Martín del Campo, Tech Philosopher A philosophy major from Universidad Panamericana, Ana Victoria is interested in how technological advances in the social sphere shape the contemporary conception of what it means to be human. She is keen on studying ‘intelligence’ from transdisciplinary perspectives, aiming to understand the parameters we must improve to make better decisions. She believes that applied philosophy is crucial to unite ethics and technology. She has worked in NGOs that promote democratic citizen participation.
José Roberto Mejía, Project Assistant José Roberto Mejía is an internationalist and communication specialist, passionate about tech and words. Part of the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Guadalajara, he actively collaborates in development projects. He has worked in Jalisco, Mexico City, Aguascalientes, Oaxaca, Hidalgo and Massachusetts as a communicator, project coordinator and has been involved in capacity building programs, social impact projects and entrepreneurial culture events specializing in high impact entrepreneurship.	Alberto Redonda, Communications and Marketing Assistant A communications graduate from the Universidad del Valle de Atemajac (UNIVA), Alberto has gathered experience in organizational communication and advertising (he has collaborated with Pepsi, KFC, Little Caesars, Burger King). He is interested in social causes and this has led him through a solid path working for different NGOs whose causes range from quality education to respect for the labor rights of Latino migrant communities.
Mariana Roó, Projects Assistant Mariana is a communication graduate from the Universidad Panamericana (UP) and a philosophy graduate from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). She loves learning about and researching diverse topics and is interested in the application of knowledge for tangible social impacts. Previously, she worked in a bookstore and as a Research Assistant in social science projects, mainly around socio-environmental conflicts, at FLACSO-Mexico.	Valeria Tafoya, Intern Valeria is an ambitious and curious Business and Systems Engineering student, with a passion for technology's application for social good. She has participated in different conferences and roundtables about Artificial Intelligence in Ethics and Education. She is a mentor at the Makerspace of her local Youth Institute, where she designs and gives workshops on new technologies. Moreover, she is interning part-time at C Minds and growing her family business.
